70th Anniversary Celebration - June 17, 2014
We are excited to announce that 2014 marks 70 years of service to women and girls in our community. On June 17, 2014, we hosted a 70th anniversary celebration at the Kitsap Conference Center. It was a wonderful evening ... reminiscing with former members, socializing with current members, and sharing "Soroptimist" with potential new members. We also recognized our 2014 community service award recipients. We hope you'll be there with us to celebrate our next milestone ... 75 years!

Comedy Night at Cloverleaf - April 11, 2014
On Friday, April 11, 2014, we hosted the 2nd Annual "Comedy Night at Cloverleaf" fundraiser. All proceeds from this event helped to fund our 2014 community service awards. It was a fun-filled evening, full of joy and laughter. We will be hosting again in the future. We hope you'll join us.
Women's History Month with Kitsap Historical Society - March 7, 2014
A special event at the Kitsap History Museum celebrating Women's History Month! Copy of Event Flyer - Soroptimists of Greater Bremerton Area, Port Orchard, and Greater North Kitsap sponsored the exhibit, WOMEN'S WORK: BREAKING THE MOLD. The exhibit opening was held March 7, 2014 in conjunction with Bremerton's First Friday Art Walk. The guest speaker, CDR Darlene Iskra, USN (ret) PhD shared her experience as the first woman commander of a commissioned navy vessel. The exhibit ran through the end of April.
"Women and girls face specific obstacles solely due to their gender. Soroptimists help women and girls overcome these challenges."
