Soroptimist International of Greater Bremerton Area is a diverse group of women of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, and occupations. Our members are retirees, business owners (brick and mortar, home-based, or virtual), and professionals (e.g. doctors, attorneys, teachers, chief executive officers, and government officials). They are active in their communities and believe that by joining with other women they can make the world a better place. Membership provides a number of material, intangible benefits, and intrinsic rewards for those wishing to offer their time, talent, and energy in the service of women and girls.

    • Mission-In-Service  Identify, implement, and evaluate all service projects
    • Program Meetings  Identify and coordinate program speakers for meetings
    • Community Service Awards  Oversee application process, and review applications and select awardees based on specific criteria, plan and coordinate awards event
    • Dream It, Be It Program  Identify participants, plan and implement program, evaluate, plan and coordinate awards event
    • Live Your Dream Committee  Promote awards, solicit applicants, provide guidance and assistance with application process, select awardees based on specific criteria, plan and coordinate awards event
    • Membership Committee  Identify, implement, and evaluate strategies to recruit, train, and retain members; engage club membership
    • Fundraising Committee  Coordinate and organize all fundraising and ways & means projects, identify, implement, and evaluate other funding strategies/projects
    • Finance Committee  Prepare and submit budgets; ensure audits/reviews are conducted per by-laws
    • Public Awareness & Communications (PAC) Committee  News releases, newsletters, community awareness, media on upcoming programs, publicize club events, social media and other publicity strategies; work with other committees on their publicity needs
    • Human Trafficking Committee  Undertake projects and programs to educate and raise awareness about Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation, distribute materials at events; plan and coordinate public documentary showings, collaborate with other service organizations and participate in events aimed at raising awareness about and/or ending human trafficking; attend trainings and/or presentations
    • By-Laws Committee  Review club policies & procedures (including by-laws) & submit proposed changes to the Board
